Tampa Weather
This video is some footage I captured shortly after it stopped raining in Tampa last week. I tried to find different effects of this weather and how it effected different areas of campus and different people on campus.

Music
I would like to add Shakira to the Latin World movement. In this past years, I believe she has contributed a lot to the world of Latin music and deserves recognition for it. I have always enjoyed listening to Shakira since I was young. My dad has been fond of her also because she is half Lebanese, and he was born there so he likes to see that his heritage is being embraced with her music. I think it is also interesting to know that she can belly dance, and was influenced by this from her Lebanese grandmother. I admire that she can speak many languages, and has songs in English and Spanish. I feel her music fits with technology and electronic music because her music is very modern and incorporates many different sounds and instruments. The beats in her songs are very upbeat and have a catchy rythmn. I can tell when hearing her songs that she incorporates different genres of music into her songs. Some of the sounds are probably electronic and not real, but this makes the music more interesting and enjoyable to listen to. She put a very modern spin on Latin music and made her mark in the music field.
"Hips Don't Lie" is my favorite song by her, because it is very upbeat and pleasant. The video is very detailed and shows her having a good time and dancing with the rest of the video cast. This song was very popular when it came out, and still is. This came out in 2009. The Latin roots in this song are very noticeable.
This is another song that Shakira is featured in. It is a Spanish song and I think it is very catchy. This song came out in 2016, and it is another one of my favorite songs with her in it. It is called "La Bicicleta" and it is by Carlos Vives and Shakira.

What if the world is a simulation?
Based on the video, I do not believe the world is a simulation. This just seems as a theory that is overthought, and not true. I do not think it is possible for the world to be a simulation, because not all of the world is concrete, and none of it is false or imaginative. When he displays the "Simulation Argument" and states 3 ideas where he believes at least one must be true, I disagree. I do not think it is possible for any of his points to be proven. The third idea he states is that, "Any entities with our general set of experiences are most certainly in a simulation." This can be disproved because my friends who could be referred to as "entities" have never told me or felt, that I am aware of, that they have experienced "fake" events like simulations. This seems impossible and unrealistic. The man in the video argues that humans will make realistic simulations in the future, also. This could be a possibility, however, we are not really sure because no one knows what the future is capable of.
Can you create art with technology?
In my opinion, yes, you can create art with technology. The definition of "art" according to The Merriam Webster Dictionary is "a skill acquired by experience, study, or observation". There are endless forms of art, and everyone is capable of creating it in their own ways. New forms of technology have been especially helpful in making new creative forms of art. For example, there is a device that I used when I took 2D Art in high school that allowed me to project an image from my phone that I wanted to paint or draw onto a board where I could trace it almost exactly to have a guideline for myself. This helped tremendously in making my figures look more accurate if I could not draw them as well free-hand. New forms of technology are constantly being created day by day, and these inventions serve as outlets for new creative ideas. Technology opens many different windows and possibilities for art. Without it, people would not be able to research new ideas or explore different images online. It broadens the potential for artwork.

Technology
The iPhone is an example of a form of technology that has been influenced upon by previous decades. Global evolution has been taking place ever since the US has been discovered. This has been derived from the start of electricity. Without the invention of electricity, there would have been no previous inventions that would have led up to the iPhone. Alessandro Volta, who invented the voltaic pile, made it possible for the battery to be invented, which is part of the iPhone today. The discovery of electromagnetism led to the invention of the electronic telegraph. The internet derived from the invention of electromagnetism, which is what the iPhone is made up of. Roberte Hooke invented the first telephone in 1667. Wireless communications became possible with the help of the invention of the radio. The radio also made it possible to access the internet from smartphones, which led to the invention of WiFi. The camera also was a previous invention that can be linked to the iPhone today. Steven Jasson was the first person to invent a digital camera. Multi-touch LCD screens are a large component of phones. The Marconi Wireless Telegraph company involved the first practical application of technology. EA Johnson invented the first finer-driven touch screen. All of these previous inventions have led to the invention of the iPhone today.
The iPhone is constantly getting updated every second of the day by Apple workers. They are constantly trying to think of new innovative ways to make the iPhone better than the previous year. Every year a new version of the iPhone is released with new innovative features. The possibilities that the inventors have for the future are endless; it is almost even impossible to predict what they are capable of producing in the upcoming years.
